Portuguese Construction and Building Materials Cluster promotes seminar in Dubai

The Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai hosted a seminar this Tuesday, March 8th, organized by Portuguese associations representing the Construction and Building Materials Cluster.

The seminar, promoted in partnership with AICCOPN (Association of Civil Construction and Public Works Industry), APCMC (Portuguese Association of Building Materials), APICER (Portuguese Association of Ceramics and Domestic Glass Industries), ANIET (Portuguese Association of Extractive and Manufacturing Industry) and ASSIMAGRA (Portuguese Association of Mineral Resources Industry), aimed to promote the know-how, competence and prestige of Portuguese companies, paving the way to strengthen commercial partnerships.

The event kicked off at 04:00 p.m. with a presentation of the Construction Sector, by AICCOPN, followed by a presentation of the Construction Materials Sector, by APCMC; the Natural Stone Sector, by ASSIMAGRA and ANIET and the Ceramics Sector by APICER. The presentations were followed by a Q&A session and a networking cocktail with local partners at the Al-Lusitano Restaurant.

At a time when Dubai is the world stage in different areas, with emphasis on construction, the purpose of the presence of Portuguese associations at the event was to present the national market in this sector and the Portuguese offer in construction materials, as well as experience in the areas of architecture, engineering and construction, promoting Portuguese companies and their international positioning in global markets.

Construction and building materials are very relevant areas for the national economy, with a consolidated and vibrant business environment, but they also have a wide and prestigious presence in international markets. Portuguese building materials are distinguished by their quality, high performance, technological innovation, design, and sustainability. Natural stone and ornamental rocks, ceramics, cork, and other materials provide versatility and give sophistication to the most daring ideas advocated by modern architecture and decoration.

The event is organized in partnership with the Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency (AICEP), which is also the entity responsible for the Portugal Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 and has the support of Portugal 2020.
