Portugal Pavilion promotes Coimbra region and brings Fado to Expo’s world stage

From the sea to the mountains, the Coimbra region will showcase its diversity at the Portugal Pavilion, from 16-17 February, with an initiative that aims to attract investment to the territory. At the end of the week, the Portuguese participation takes the tradition of Fado to Expo’s world stage, with two live performances by the singer Maria Ana Bobone.

 

Starting tomorrow, the Portugal Pavilion will host presentations and meetings on various strategic sectors of economic activity and investment in the Coimbra region, such as real estate, textiles, biotechnology, health, design, construction, renewable energy, among others, to draw the attention of the Middle East to the potential and diversity of its territory.

 

The main goal of the Intermunicipal Community (CIM) of Coimbra Region is to show the strength and diversity of its territory and the excellence and competitiveness of its SMEs.

 

In addition to B2B meetings, and as part of the distinction of the Coimbra Region as a European Gastronomy Region 2021-2022, there will also be a tasting of typical products of this Portuguese territory, with the signature of chef Chakall, from the Portuguese Pavilion’s Al-Lusitano restaurant.

 

At the end of the week, attentions turn to Portugal’s musical tradition, with two live performances by Fado singer Maria Ana Bobone. Widely recognized as one of the best voices of her generation, Maria Ana Bobone will take the stage on Friday, 7:00pm, at the Portugal Pavilion and on Saturday, 4:00pm, at Al Wasl Plaza.
