SpeakersCATARINA CARVALHO | Studied Economics at the University of Porto and Hotel Management at the Porto Business School, with craftsmanship and product development being her truest passions. At the age of 19, Catarina created her first brand, a handmade jewellery line, and in 2013 she founded Darono, which develops eco, handcrafted designs with upcycled and recycled materials.
MARITA SETAS FERRO | Created and coordinated wardrobes for theater, opera, circus and ballet, as well as scenography. In 2008, Marita launched her brand Marita Moreno, where she develops designer pieces and sustainable accessory lines. She is also trainer and consultant in areas of design, textiles, fashion, and Plastic Arts. Considered one of the Top 100 Women in Fashion Tech by Women of Wearables in 2019, Marita Moreno promotes her brand internationally in New York, London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks.
MIGUEL SOEIRO | Lisbon-based independent designer. By focusing on simplicity, Miguel challenges conventional design. Traditional materials are the starting point of each creative process, however he gives an informal, contemporary - yet timeless - edge to the final product. Miguel’s value and recognition are attested by the collaborations with small artisans and well-known manufacturers, as well as through the acclamation of his work in worldwide design publications and invitations to participate in some of the most prestigious design events. His creations have been distinguished with several awards.
